Pretty sure China is tracking me and wants revenged for something.. Buy Bitcoin, 2 days later China bans bitcoin mining. Buy Naspers couple of days later China starts regulating big tech firms, buy more Prosus China limits the amount of hours kids can game... Not sure what I should buy next, maybe some Telkom shares so China can sink them

Now our friends Evergrand are in trouble, China are trying to financially ruin me

Ouch. Been a while since I was down 6 figures before market open. Selling naked puts later to make it all back though.
Same here although my 6 figures, with 2 decimal points. No one seems to understand pain of us rich guys.

Help us Noobs out...

Where and what should we be looking at buying?
I am not advising but I suspect China market is down (and emerging market as a result), thinking is to buy MSCI China/Emerging markets as they are likely to come up in next 2-3 years?

I am weary of all markets across the globe. They are all battered by Covid-19 and they are struggling. I think many foreign markets are still to experience the worst of Covid in the next 5-10 years.

South Africa is not only battered by Covid, but it faces a bad Government influenced by Socialist ideologies. I think SA markets will gradually keep declining and likely flatten out at some point in time and simply trade sideways with no real potential for growth.

As for China, I think things are about to get a lot worse for them in the next 10 years. They are extremely reliant on a good world economy. As Covid affects the global economy, the demand for China is decreasing. More of their sectors will suffer more decline in coming years.

Just my opinion, but markets now are risky and for the brave people. I would much rather be stocking up on gold and keep my investments in a safe haven while Covid plays out.

a seriously massive day today, all eyes will be on the FED

in my view the FED will do nothing and will not mention interest rate increases or tapering

any hint in the language the FED intends to do either or both will see markets tumble

Not many people would agree with me, but one just needs to look at China to see where both South Africa and America is heading. There is not much difference between the ANC government, the US government and their spending plans and what China's government been doing the past few months....

China has been cracking down hard on Capitalism in the country. This crackdown already wiped off more than $1tn off their market values. Xi already made it pretty clear, he wants greater distribution of wealth and also a state-run private sector. He also, on behalf of the working class, declared a 'war' against capitalism.

While Biden has already started implementing more ways to intervene and regulate the economy, he also constantly speaks about equality and favours redistribution of income. The only difference between US and China policies is that China did not raise taxes (as yet).

No matter how the FED approaches this, America is in trouble and world markets too. It is not a good time to be invested heavily as a big collapse is imminent.

I highly doubt that Evergrande will be bailed out by the Chinese government. In fact, I am pretty much convinced it will not be.
