Nope. The first interest rate of at least 4 announced by the fed.

Things are about to get even worse from hereon.

Until such time inflation is under control and interest rate hikes no longer needed, then the correction will come and things will get better from then on.

where is inflation coming from? its coming from the FED, so even if the FED raises rates by 4% it will still be well below their own measure of inflation, in other words a rate hike won't have much effect if the FED is still printing money

You are missing the Democrats policies and Bidens' inability to run the country, coupled with his Socialist support and views, crime rate, supply chain issues, his BBB plan which already poured Trillions of Dollars into the market and started giving rise to inflation.

If you miss this important piece of information, your calculations could be way off.

Yes, it will. It already has. Investors already showed their fear and started the selloff.

lol, if they were selling from fear, bond yields would be sky rocketing, but its not

You do realize that there exists no explanation for this and there are also no consensus as to why this is happening, right?

I will give you two of my opinions....

1. Strangely, the 2 year yields did rise while the 10 year yields fell. This could be a possible indication that some investors feel that the Fed may prevent inflation from becoming a long-term or even permanent issue. They are rather betting on the short term yields, as they are not totally convinced though.

2. Some investors realize the magnitude of the inflation problem and decided to move portfolios and investments abroad, leading to a massive exodus in funds and decline in both stock and bonds. If this is indeed the case, it would explain the gambling on 2 year yields and the impending collapse of the stockmarket which has been warned about the past 1-2 years.

Looking at the continuous bleeding and free-fall, I am leaning towards number 2.

but you are speaking as if what you are saying is factual...

See my post again... in fact, I will quote the relevant part...

I will give you two of my opinions....

Not sure where factual came into my post. It was my opinion. You invest the way you want, I do how I want. No rights, no wrongs.

I am going to take the opportunity to engage some cash into rebalancing my holdings this evening. I am considering some Etherum but I will do that last if at all.

Rebalanced right at the lows for the day, and now I see it ended in the green for the day... Didn't see that coming.

Another bumpy ride ahead !

Australian and Japan markets are still falling like bricks !

There are still no end in sight. I think the coming drop will be brutal. We are still waiting for the markets to enter correction territory. The current drop are still reactions to inflation, upcoming rate hikes and the impending war with Russia. Only after that will the real correction start.
