PREFTX did the most damage to my portfolio(banks took a massive hit), but keeping it as it pays out healthy dividends.

Is it really a good time to buy DBXWD now?
From what I can see is if you do buy now you avg purchase price per share keep on going up until the price reach its pinnacle.
Then once the rand/SA starts recovering (might be in a month or 10 years from now) the etf price will drop but your avg purchase price will at some stage be above that of the etf. So if you are buying to "trade" it might be a good option but not to keep? Or am I missing something?

I buy dbxWD for 30 years, so not phased by "righht time"

So I guess the correct question I should have asked was what is his intention , short term profit or retirement

Anyone going in for gold? Feel it's the only thing that's investable today...

Harmony gold went up 10.53% yesterday. Today Sibanye is already up 7.81%. Definitely the most promising option right now because everyone is looking for safety.

The guy is out of his depth. "For too long we have bowed down to rating agencies. We should ignore global influences"

Moronic at best

Lol. I bet he will be great at balancing the budget.

Aaah, but why balance ? Eish man.... That's an apartheid thing. We don't balance... We just make the one heavy.. That one he goes to my pocket.

I was wondering if it's perhaps better to wait for the other ratings agencies announcements on Friday before buying any new shares as there may be further drops?
