Neither do I. But, I agree with you, if one can wait out the urge to throw money at the markets, you could by end of 2016 get shares at huge bargains. Big question, however, is when will they hit rock-bottom. Also, will the exchange survive a drop to junk, with virtually no foreign investors? I wonder what consequences such downgrade will have on the exchange, money already invested.

I am looking to build myself a new portfolio to invest in next year, but only for the year. I am busy looking at companies who performed the past 2-4 years constantly. Yes, I know that past performance does not dictate future success, but I think our economy is at a point where this may actually just have turned around.

I think the few companies who withstood the economical and political landscape we saw in 2015, actually may have a good chance of success in 2016.

Just remember that there is quite a lot of volatility in Lonmin at this time after the consolidation. They issued a Sense on this. While all other platinum stocks are falling today, Lonmin is climbing, but this has all to do with the consolidation. I think it will start leveling out by next week. From then it will be interesting to see what happens.

They are still a solid company. Even with low oil they make money off chemicals and their fuel business remains profitable.

Hiked Wednesday and Thursday 3 km round trip to try find cellphone signal to check on stocks. Was a nice walk in nature too atleast

Sold the sasol and woolies shares today. 12% realised in 2 weeks. The lonmin shares are now in the black but I have a feeling they will do another 10% tomorrow.

AMEX... I found it on MS Money. Seems Lucas Energy (LEI) has signed deals to purchase new oil and gas properties and the share price sky-rocketed on the back of that.

An interesting possible investment looks to be Tongaat. Low P.E and they offer a dividend.

Tongaat has hit another dip. So only if you are willing to hold out for years. On the other hand Aquarius Platinum has been outperforming for several months now
