Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't fscking jinx it!
Don't get me wrong, this is only temporary. I don't think banking stocks are a good bet atm. Aquarius and Sibanye are better bets with the takeover deal approved.

Nope..it was up around 17h55 but died at 18h03

Same here. I tweeted to him and it sucks that he didn't even bother to put a tweet up informing folks

I mean in every single webinar he tells people to tweet him rather than email.

Talking about apps, is anybody here using fancy software to view the shares from a technical / graph angle ? I played with stocks in this way in the 90s and am thinking of starting a portfolio again, step 1 is reading everything I make time for and step 2 is getting software sorted so I can start with a dummy portfolio for a few months ...

I have decided to start writing my own Windows phone app for this and add in some price alters(like stop losses) as a side project for fun. I need to brush up on the new technologies so why not write this app.

MSN Money is a good app to view stocks, and related news to them. Just pick English South Africa as a language to get the JSE.

Curro is down almost 14% since I bought it. I need a market crash on pay day so I can buy nice things too!

Sad thing is every day I tell myself "I should really just take everything out now"

And here we are again

I have decided to sell everything and exit the market as soon as we have an up day like yesterday again. I am rather going to settle some small debt as the interest on my small debt is more than the profit I am making on stocks during the last 3 months.

I do not forsee stocks going up for the remainder of the year. I would probably be able to pick ups discounted stocks in the second half of 2016.

Luckily I sold Curro when I was 3% down, waited awhile and bought in again yesterday.

If it wasn't for that I'd be down almost 12% already.

that is my thought as well.

my portfolio was majorly based on stocks that performed stable 20% plus for the last 3 years or even more. Portfolio currently up 3% in almost a year...

something really messed up in the markets. settling debt with 10%/15% interest might be a better bet i think.

*edit*
After typing the above, my alarm bells started to ring from experience gained in the past 2 years - dont sell when it is low...
using the tools available to me, with Google finance tracking, comparing my portfolio with other big markets out there - i can see that my portfolio is performing very stable actually.

the big jump in December is a healthy investment of my yearly bonus :).

so yes maybe just wait this one out. If i see a big difference between my portfolio(Equities in Blue) and other markets, i might consider pulling out.

so many choices to make
