I feel your pain, I'm down roughly 50k over the past 3 months :(

That actually made me feel a whole lot better. Dwarfs my loss. Thanks for the Friday morning pick-me-up Purply ;-) Here's hoping that next week is a better one for both of us!

What we should do end of this year, Say 31 Nov is check and compare our EE Demo Accounts. See who was the bravest and most reckless when no emotion was attached to the money you are investing :D

How about a MyBB informal competition/challenge on the demo accounts?

Fcking Rhodes food has been a expense ever since I bought it last year it just falls and falls and falls, I have no faith in them but I have a hefty sum laying in them.

Can you hold a CFD long term? Why not leverage a consistently performing share to maximize profit over the long term?

Yes you can, but also consider that you pay interest on the exposure - you have to be sure that the share is going to be consistently going up. Wild swings in price can wipe your close out margin and eventually close you out of the trade

I never keep a CFD over a weekend, I always close the position on Friday - things can happen over the weekend that may influence the price before you've even had a chance to react on Monday morning.

Thanks, so your investment needs to outperform the interest rate

Well when you close the trade ideally you want to ensure that after paying interest and fees that come out with a profit

Share prices don't always go up steadily, there's up,down, sideways. On a daily basis you might be losing but on the overall trade you ideally want to profit.

CFD's can be dangerous when the market moves against you, I've lost lots of money and I've also made lots of money using derivative products...be careful
