There is plenty of apps on the market that can fill the gap and I like it that way. I get to chose the one I want, instead of crap other people think I should.

Well there are probably further security options on the App store but haven't really bothered looking. If you take your non-tech savvy tablet user having the ability to be able to trace your tablet/phone from setup is a lot more appealing than having to root/jb to get the same sort of functionality.
