Stop 5G Groups and Anti-5G Cults in South Africa

Has anybody not been ticked off by the thousands of misinformed people on Facebook and such, who are threatening to rip up 5G towers, stop 5G and protest?

I joined a group to find out just how delusional these people are, but it's a whole other level. Just need somebody else to suffer with me. I apologise to the mods if this gets chaotic but holy heck. The group I joined fair warning. They are pretty hard-arsed that 5G is causing the COVID-19 virus and that the lockdown was to install 5G towers.

There was a video that made the rounds recently with 4 kids that supposedly got cancer from a 5G tower that was set up on a school and the community then took down the tower. If these idiots had Googled the video they would have found out the video is a year old and that the tower was not a 5G tower. These people need to stop, someone in another FB group made this crazy theory about how we shouldn't take vaccines because the Government is going to insert micro-chips into us as part of their 666 plan.

What should be taken more seriously, though, is the growing view among more and.more ordinary well-meaning people that somwhow our institutions have become too large, too powerful, too intrusive in our lives. For many years now I've had the growing sense that more and more people are feeling somehow disempowered, that they're just a cypher, a factor of production or consumption, a serf in a world increasingly run by the rich and powerful, that technocrats call the shots and that ordinary people have somehow lost control and dominion over their own lives and families. There's a creeping malaise and disaffection that is very worring.

This is very concerning, because it opens the door to demagogues, obscurantists, hyper-rationlists and a thousand peddlers who have an easy but wrong (as in half-truth) answer for why more and more people are feeling alienated and powerless, reluctant to procreate. This is a toxic brew and spells ill for our civilisational future, I fear...

I'm getting a 5G capable phone next week some time. Do they work the same as the towers or do they give me micro doses of the corona? If so it could work like a flu injection, not so? If it does can I get 2 or three phones and get immune to corona quicker? Should I rather keep it switched off until this corona crap is done or should I just take my chances and play with my new toy even though it will give me the corona?

I need answers damit!

These idiots don't even realise there is absolutely no difference between 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, WIFI, FM, AM, VHF, UHF etc. It's all electromagnetic radiation, albeit in different frequencies on the spectrum. Why they're singling out 5G, when you could just as easily be paranoid about all other forms of electromagnetic radiation, if you were so inclined, is curious. We've been living with man-made electromagnetic radiation in our environment for well over a century already, ever since Marconi sent his first wireless transmission across the Atlantic.
