Thanks krono9. I'll check the settings when I'm back home from the office and report back.

This just parked in front of my office. Snapped with my phone because I do not have my camera here.

I see a lot of good photo's these days with "kit" lenses..... :)

Well I don't have any of those lenses any more. This pic was taken late November before all my gear was stolen.

Luckily I found this SD Card on the TV stand. I probably took it out of the camera bag to process but never got around to it. I am going through all the photos on there now and see I have some pics of a Cheetah run and wannabe bird photography on there as well. Will post one or two here in due time.

Here is one from the Cheetah run.

I remember now it was done at 18h30 so I was not shooting in very good light.

My two new additions. Nearly three weeks old. Taken with Nokia Lumia 920.

Thoughts on this?

First attempt at a landscape/sunset photo. It is not HDR. One shot.

You have to do that with your levels. The aim is to boost the shadows and drop the highlights.

In Lightroom it is very easy. And that is all I did along with boosting the contrast, vibrance and saturation a bit.

HDR doesn't necessarily mean multiple shots, it just means high dynamic range, so by bringing up the shadows and dropping the highlights you're creating a more HDR, lower contrast shot than is usually possible in a single DSLR exposure.
