The sun is finally starting to set in a more photogenic place again. Bring on summer!

Wow, what an amazing photo!! Have you ever thought of displaying your work in an art gallery, or selling them? You have a nice talent!!

Glad you like. :)

These sort of photographs usually aren't my sort of thing though - I dont have the temperament for landscapes or other "artsy-fartsy" type shots. :D

Nice shot krypty !
How long was that exposure ?

The exposure was 2.5 seconds.

I used a screw on Neutral density Filter NDx8 and NDx4 to slow down the shutter and a Gradient Neutral Density Filter to stop the sky from blowing out.

Sounds like a nice collection of filters you've got there. :)

Once again local suppliers are insane with filter prices, so I got them from the following place.

Got a set of Hoya ND Filters ND8, ND4, ND2 for the price of one filter locally.
(and shipping is free worldwide, shipping times is under 2 weeks)

and the GND Filters I got from Formatt Filters in the UK who makes Hitech Filters, they do not leave a color cast like Cokin. (Prices is also the same as locally Cokin filters)

At the moment I only buy CL Polarisers - for what I do it's the only expense I can really justify but one day . . . :)

I might try stacking polarisers instead of getting a ND filter though.

Hmm is a cokin UV filter ok to use as a lens protector?
In my experience filters lead to flaring and aren't worth it. A hood does a much better job to protect the lens.

However - some manufacturers suggest a filter to weather seal some of their lenses.
