Nice pics... but one tip. Try levelling the images so that horizontal lines are horizontal and verticals are vertical. On the wide shots you do have curvature so its a bit tricky, but the shots still feels like they are 'leaning'

Thanks. To be honest only after i took the shots i saw that the tripod etc were a tad unlevel. oops, photoshop!!!

Random tip - a quick way to level a horizon in PS is to use the Ruler tool between two points and then go Rotate > Arbitrary. The correct amount will be ready and waiting for you. :)

(Curvature is also a quick fix with the lens correction tool.)

I was messing around with the Art Filters on the Camera last week. Took this of Claire picking roses.

AS SHOT :) Since the camera did all the work and I only pushed the button. Skin colour is of course ghastly, But the roses looked "pretty"

Maybe try some selective saturation? Anything you can do in camera you should be able to do better (more control) in post.

Dont fight it - drink the kool-aid and put your jpg days behind you :D

Oh.. and another main reason I now shot in RAW, Is because Lightroom can now render my camera's RAW format. It was a pain before where I had to use the OEM software and convert everything anyway. Combined with Facebook/Flickr/Photobucket upload plugins I can now do it all in one app.

Otherwise out of pure laziness, I'd more than likely still be shooting JPG
