I hate you :p

What a awesome shot... some people just have it.

Do you give lessons?

Just lucky but thanks all the same :)

These days the only people I teach are my kids but with everyone getting their fancy cameras over the silly season it might be a good time to reconsider. :D

Great shot!

/Looks a lot like you were standing on the corner of Hazelhurst Drive/Turvey (or Scanlen) Street and looking down to the Bay?

Thanks moggie :) I didn't really expect it to be such a great shot lol, just saw the thick mist and thought I'd take a photo. That was taken outside my house in Linton Grange.

I was in Hazelhurst drive earlier that day working on a house and I got these tho:
(Erica Primary to the right and I think Scanlen is to the left)

Those were taken around 2pm and 3pm

When I was looking to buy a house a few years ago, I was looking for one of those houses but none were on the market. Bought on the other side of Mount Road, just below the reservoir...

very nice chau, panning shots are always difficult to take.

Thank you SubliminalThought :) Yeah the panning shots are more difficult to take but i've found it a whole lot easier to do with my new Canon 70-300 IS USM lens. With the IS on in the panning mode it makes life SO much easier and you end up with more keepers.

Thank you too ToxixBunny :) I was disappointed that he had to retire, his car was actually REALLY fast

Bwana, did you go down to the beachfront to have a look-see and take photos?

Nice shot chau - sorry I missed it  I've been chilling in Hermanus for the week after shooting a wedding. Break time is over so I guess its time to start meandering back now . . . :(

Oh nice bwana. Hope you had a good wedding shoot. This was my first attempt at capturing fireworks. What a mission it is to get something decent :O

Did you take a road trip up? If so then you have a nice scenic route to photograph on the way back :)

the wedding was a challenge but loads of fun - the lighting in particular was a nightmare.:)

They were very relaxed and happy to let me do my thing (run and gun) so instead of those rigid, posed shots you normally see we got plenty of them just having a good time and not being obsessed by the camera.

I drove but since I brought my family for a bit of a holiday I packed away the heavy artillery after the wedding and just took snapshots with the 400D. There are plenty of opportunities along the way for landscapes but that stuff bores the pants off me so I didnt bother stopping.

Thanks, I have some others where the focal point is in the lower third of the picture - feels a bit better composed then. But still, glad you liked it. Bracket shooting (slow as it may be on non-SLRs) is pretty sweet if you keep the camera steady :)
