Strange battery issue.

My iPhone 5s has a strange battery issue. When it is charged it will discharge normally until it gets to 40% than it will immediatly fall to 33%. It does this every time. From 33% downwards it will continue to discharge normally.

I am assuming that this is a metering issue and that the battery is OK.

I read through some of the posts on the Apple support forums and most of the complaints resulted in a battery replacement. One suggestion however was to hold the home and power buttons in for 10 seconds to reset the device. Worth a try.
