Strike on ADSL

I was wondering why doesn't someone like Antowan or rpm organise a kind of strike on the appalling LIMITATIONS of Telkom ADSL.
We could get media coverage like TheRodent did with Sentech and maybe ... just maybe Telkom will sit up and notice.

Of course people live in different parts of SA but since rpm lives in Somerset west we could organise one in Cape Town and JHB.

Just a thought....

There are just too many mission-critical services being supported by the service, for this kind of action to be even remotely justifiable. There are organisations that rely on the service for their continued operations, without a Diginet or dial-up contingency in place - those that have converted from the latter do not necessarily have the facilities in place any longer, too. So... good idea, but somewhat impractical, IMHO...

I don't think it is time for hardline tactics yet. Talking first, war last...

ADSL reliability seems to have improved, but not that much. I still have at least one 56k modem on each server for email access and modems in the power users workstations just in case.
