Hi Guys.
I've decided to get into the Linux game alongside windows, and figured Ubuntu would probably be the easiest for me to start using.
The main issue for me right now ... is I just can't get the stupid bloody thing to work!!!
I made one CD, which everytime I try install it, fails at some point during the purple installation screen and gives me a whole bunch of text in the console saying failed and I can't type anything.
Then I made another CD and isntalled that from windows, and it installed, but when I try boot into Ubuntu ... it fails too.
Why is it so hard to install, and is there another version of linux I should be using that is user friendly?
By the way, this is on a desktop.
Regards
Itai
