I'm looking at getting a small photographic studio up and running in one the rooms in my house. I've been looking at the 3 x 85w softbox studio kit that they sell online, am I wasting my time and money on this? I mean 85w is not a lot of light, my reading lamp is brighter than that.

Any suggestions, I prefer continuous lighting over flash?

85w/s? That seems ridiculously low. I've got Jinbei 300W/s and even they seem a bit underpowered to me.

Exactly, why would they even sell a kit like that? Funny you should mention it, the set I was looking at is also a Jinbei, selling for R4400.00.
