and probably will for many many years to come. Thank you ANC for giving us this legacy. The blame cannot possibly be put anywhaere else, as no one else had any power to do anyting regarding this.

This has also unfotunatley set the field for any form of future "competition", hence NeoTel's remark that they wont take Telkom on in a price war. Then DoC is planning to restrict the amount of international access that will be available to the industry. So how on earth will this situation change at all in the future? ...not gonna happen.

This type of thing always arises where some sort of social engineering is practised "in order to redress previous inequities".

One social engineering exercise does not approve another ...

Those shareholders in Telkom, who are part of the so called gravy train, is likely not to allow this problem to be addressed in a reasonable and civil manor and with integrity.

The only solution would be if this is addressed in a way that these shareholders can't block.

This is likely through opening the market. Such a move is likely also being blocked or slowed to a snail's pace by similar stakeholders.

There is just no honor in this mess we find ourselves in.
