Good news for people buying portable power stations in South Africa

Many popular portable power stations in South Africa cost less than half their price from a year and a half ago, an analysis by MyBroadband shows.

Portable power stations are simple plug-and-play inverter-and-battery combo systems with which users can easily and safely power computers, TVs, lights, and cellphone chargers for several hours.

On MYBB the headline is either Good or Bad, Nail, Massive, and more. (And DSTV gets mentioned every 2 times in 90% of the articles)

Yeah picked up on this today through ads on my Chrome browser.

Good time to get something if one needs it.
Not only useful for load shedding.

So basically they have been screwing us over with those inflated prices

Yep!!!

Hulle het geskep, toe die geleentheid daar was.

Basic South African attitude - shaft your customers as hard as you can, with as big a dick, as you can get away with, for as long as possible.

Then they wonder why customers are no longer loyal, like we was in the old days.

Commentators who are usually so defensive of capitalism now suddenly cynical when supply and demand works for them...

Anyway, useful story, thanks MyBB. Now if I only had a reason to buy one of these...

I am mostly always cynical - 50 years ago there where ethics in business.

Now the only ethics left in business is when they need to dismiss staff members, and the only due to the existance of the CCMA, and unions.

But back then, you where fairly assured of your future. Today, your future hangs on the whim of some retards, from the ANC who call themselves collectively the "Government "

Well, in our area the power goes off at least once a month, due to the water guys cutting the lektrik cables.
And my Ecoflows are still saving my butt for internet and laptop power.
I'm a remote worker, so this is a must have for me.

Yeah, ethics in business aka business ethics is a bygone concept & belongs in the same era when “loyalty” meant something.

Same WA group.

Like the revelation that South Africa had a 50% higher profit margin then it's European counterparts which the fact checkers said was false because they couldn't prove it was actually 50%. They think everyone is an idiot. one of the reasons I never buy South African and import almost everything unless the local is incredibility cheap by comparison.

Why Shein and TEMU are doi g so well here, then local spoilt competitors cry foul.

They have only themselves to blame.

Ethics in business 50 years ago? In the 70s? Are you high? There's never been ethics in business

Yeah those bygone ethics in business, oh wait. Never existed, always been about the bottom line. H
