Why can't they shed Ysterplaat? Surely the air force isn't doing anything critical.

Ysterplaat is home to one of our few helicopter squadrons, as well as VIP jets. So when 'number one' comes to address parliament, this is where the planes land (not CT International Airport). You might not think that's critical, but someone does...

Of course I realize that it's not ZA! Why the ***** would I think it is ZA? The video clearly says it's the UK. Did you even watch? I am showing you that in 2008 already the UK dealt with sudden demand spikes of 3 GW like it was nothing. At the same time South Africa was trying to load shed 3 GW!!!
