Suggestions for marriage proposal, Durban

I am 25 years old, my gf is turning 24 and we've been together for 4.5 years. I have purchased an engagement ring already, waiting for it to be resized.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to pop the question. We will both be on leave the following week for her birthday. No, the engagement ring is not her birthday gift, I have gotten her something else and taking her to a spa.

Her father is very strict and an overnight thing would be out of the question. Preferably something I can do during the day as I am night blind. Suggestions for Durban/Amanzimtoti area. I don't want to be cheap but the budget is kind of limited.

Book her favorite restaurant. Get them to do candle-light on the table (hopefully they have dim enough lighting in the place anyway) and get them to do a single rose with some petals over the table (they'll do that, just explain what you want and give them the cash to do so)

Tell your girlfriend to dress up because you're taking her out. When you pick her up etc say hi (maybe some small talk) but avoid the question about where you are taking her. Just change the topic to something obvious that it shows that you're changing the topic on purpose and smile.

By the time you get there she'd be very excited and the romantic gesture at the restaurant etc would be enough already. Then wait after dinner and dessert and ask for the bill, before they bring it to you get up, down on your knee and pop the question.
