Anyone done a Sunsynk firmware upgrade? I submitted a request yesterday and today my power went out at around 7pm. I was confused... Circuit breakers all still up and Sunsynk was powered... Then 2-5 minutes later it seemed to restart and everything came back online. Was that the upgrade happening?
My current version is COMM: e41b with MCU: 3373

Why did you request the upgrade? Issues with the old software version?

Why roll back?
There have been reports of more stable MPPT input after the update. Not that the input changed but the reporting is more stable. As per my local installer.

@AchmatK will need to advise, unless this update has fixed the issues
New firmware doesn't like unbalanced strings. It kept limiting my one MPPT to the same current of the other mppt.

I was losing out on generation capacity.

There are some pics in the generator/inverter thread of the issue. I was also not the only person that experienced this issue. I'm not upgrading in the near future.

My biggest problem was that they wouldn't even admit that there was an issue even with me showing them. They kept on insisting that it's working the way it should even after the rollback they still didn't admit that there is an issue with the new firmware.

Even now they would admit that Solarman no longer shows any of temperatures. They just kept on wanting to sell me the new sunsynk logger.

Not exactly.

They just not exactly forthcoming in what issue exactly each firmware upgrade is attempting to fix. There is no information regarding any of the upgrades.

My inverter is running flawlessly for close on two years with the only issue being this one firmware upgrade.
I'm with you on this. Firmware upgrades should be completely transparent. I get that it creates new headaches for them where uninitiated users think throwing new code at something will fix a bad install or faulty hardware on the MPPT / Battery side and might end up creating more of a support headache, but at least a descriptive log of what the update was designed to fix would be helpful.
I have seem some UI upgrades with some firmware updates, but I want to see the exact details before I apply to my system too.

What broke on yours? Do you recall the versions you upgraded to? How did you perform the update?
Apparently the pc board blew. They replaced the board under warranty. Can't recall the firmware version. You request a firmware update on the sunsynk website.

Hi, just had the same issue. Are you running a single or 3 phase inverter? What was the turnaround time for the repair?
