Do we have a thread yet for this annual DDOS event?

With Black Friday just around the corner, and deal rumours well swirled, let's post all the deals we are aware of here. Thx @Speedster for the intro.

I'll update this post with confirmed deals, and links where applicable.

PSA: I have no idea how one sorts this to become more tech-y.

Tech-y
Retail-y

ISP-y

Cellular-y

Anyone tracking HD and SSD prices or know of a website?

Need a 1TB Sata3 MX500 or better (around R2000 shipped currently via Amazon. Also ideally 10TB WD, but the price disparity for the extra 2TB ain't worth it. R2742/R3000 shipped for a 8TB WD elements/MyBook.

The question is should I expect enough of a BF savings not to buy sooner?

The only thing I hate is all the websites that crash, surely the company's should be able to plan for this?

Seems like Makro will be doing the same as last year.
  • Five days only. Also giving 10% cash-back in mRewards on non-Black5Day promotional items purchased in-store, (excluding food, liquor and other select products).
  • R90 flat-rated delivery.
  • Free R50 x 2 Uber trips to and from Makro.
Pick 'n Pay is claiming that B/F might start earlier than what we think. Saw somewhere that they are throwing around the date 4 November - something about 50% off deals?

So that is 10% off any purchase over R5000, from the 18th to the 29th.
