Openweb also have an Uncapped LTE package ... but its FUP sux:

"4G Uncapped LTE-A is R1499 per month

Uncapped LTE from OpenWeb adheres to the following FUP: FUP - Up to 12Mbps until 200GB, then up to 6Mbps until 350GB, then up to 3Mbps for the rest of the month - resets on 1st of each month"
Its with telkom that one.

Most definitely the best bang for buck especially as it's month-month!!

The biggest question is what's Supersonic's customer service like? Also - which Huawei B618 (22d or 65d) will be best suited for MTN's LTE channels? @cavedog could you help?
They answer calls pretty quickly. But no need to call them as the speeds are awesome all the time. Only had to call them to "hack" the system, signed up at my moms address and moved it mine, as my area is not officially supported lol

Ok so how do we sign up for this wonderful deal? Not too bothered about FUP as I currently only get 200GB anyway as I manage the data pretty well...would be nice to do some HD streaming for a bit!

I just spoke to one of their agents. According to them, there is no throttling at any point on the uncapped R999 deal. You cannot however use your own router. They send you a Huawei B618 and you must use that. If you cancel, you must return the router to their HO.

Presumably they pre-configure the router and lock it to a tower?

I just wanted to confirm the FUP / T&C's.... So they reserve right to take action vs abuse (no clarity on what constitutes abuse, so they don't mention a data limit). The account is not throttled and is valid for 24 months only. Yes it is month to month, but after 24 months it lapses.

Supersonic Black Friday deals unveiled

Supersonic will offer two Black Friday deals on its Home Broadband Fixed-LTE products this year.

These packages run on MTN's network and provide LTE/4G connectivity to a fixed address - such as a home or office.
Probably a silly question, but does anybody know what sort of speed MTN LTE is running at in the Onrus River / Hermanus, Western Cape area!

I don't understand. I have a supersonic Fixed LTE 100gb +100gb account, and my speed here in PE is around 100mb/s. Yesterday I phoned Supersonic to get more info on the uncapped deal at R999.
The agent told me it is not a 1TB data deal like the one that MTN have. If I am interested in this package, I can upgrade, but my speed will drop to 12mb/s because that will be the maximum speed allowed on this uncapped deal. Now if I look at this T&C's they state there will be no shaping or throttling applied. Now what do you believe?

its month to month ... try it one month, if it sucks go back to what you had. I opted for the Telkom 1TB deal, works nicely for me at the moment with speeds reaching about 65mb/s. I'm happy with that.

I think personally that some agents, do not know what that talking about. 1 agent says you get a b618, other says, you get a b612 router. the agent told you 10/12mbs another agent told me min 8/50mbs. So I am getting delivery tomorrow and will def test and give some feed back.
