SuperSport renews deal with English Premier League

SuperSport has announced that it has renewed its broadcasting rights deal with the English Premier League for a further three seasons.

"SuperSport International is pleased to announce the renewal of its broadcast relationship with the Premier League in a deal for a further three seasons," MultiChoice said in a statement.

They paid R6 billion in August 2015 for 2016-2019. I wonder how much they paid this time.

Why would they? Premier League matches are hardly of a national interest.
