How can I get funded?

Pretend you know something about science, say that climate change is false, approach a big oil company for funding, now get paid to convince the bottom half of the population that climate change is false... voila!

Err, that is not going to work, very few people (if any) believe that climate change is not real. Lol, the climate has been changing ever since earth existed.

If there are any in Johannesburg, maybe they can pop their heads out the window and explain why it's raining here... in May.
Bwahahahaha...you've got to be kidding me....

Yeah, maybe it's a lame example but here's the thing... I've lived in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Last winter Cape Town was pretty dry and we had days of -6 to -9 degrees here. When was the last time that happened?
My comment was a layman's observation but, to me and a lot of people I know, the weather seems to be different... Something has to be causing that and if Global Warming isn't, then what is?

Climate changes. The earth warms, the earth cools etc.. Science is trying to determine the causes.

ok buddy so they making 1.6 trillion and the carbon exchange which is turning fresh air into a comodity which you will be paying more and more for doesnt have an interest? They are making $126 billion!! it might not be a trillion but thats still a lot of money profit margins are huge! they both have vested interested in this. If you dont see that then you are blind, never the fact that the Oil producers are the some of the biggest polluters. where do you think their money will be soon be invested, thats if it isnt already invested in carbon exchanges. They can now make money from polluting. What dont you understand?
Or maybe you think that companies would never be that under handed. You know that some of the biggest medical aid companies in the US invest their money in fast food outlets and tobacco?

Oil company profits are more than the current total carbon trading industry turnover. Talk of trillions is speculative at this point. Notwithstanding is there any evidence at all of mainstream climate scientists being on the payroll of alternative energy/ carbon trading companies? I can think of that one indian dude who's high up at the IPCC, but that's about it.

Right.... well I live in a different world to the one you live in.
A new Pew poll shows a dramatic change in opinion on climate change among Republicans that seems to mirror a new tone on the issue taken up by GOP politicians.
In the poll, 53 percent of Republicans said there is no evidence for climate change, when only three years ago 62 percent of GOPers said they did believe in global warming. Almost 80 percent of Democrats and a majority of independents said there is solid evidence for global warming.
Overall, 59 percent of adults thought there was good evidence that the planet is warming, and 34 percent said global warming is mostly caused by human activity. Both numbers are down steeply from 2006.

A sceptic? A free thinker? A person with an opinion? A questioning mind? I don't know, ask him.

Read any of his climate-related articles and it's clear that he's a full-blown denier, not a skeptic or a free thibker.

The debate is regarding the cause. Not weather :) it's occurring.

Eh gads, someone should tell those chaps that the climate changes and get use to it. Bleh, Americans.

They have a pretty good idea... you should read the news :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change

What you are peddling is pseudoscience. And no, I couldnt be bothered to debate pseudoscience with a believer. Its like debating the existence of the tokolosh with a rural tribal witchdoctor.
Lol, the irony.

both sides have something to gain out of this. No matter who is making more money than who, they both making money in the billions and more!!!. Both sides will lie to keep their piece of the pie, be it a trillion dollar piece or a billion dollar piece. if you still dont get my point read the bolded text over and over again until you get it.
There is no doubt that there is climate change.

Take note that the group "the carbon brief" that researched/found out that mobil is paying scientists for papers that go against climate change is a group that was setup with the soul purpose to respond to anyone that has a different view than mainstream climate science. The same guys that went on an all out offensive to down play the Climategate emails...For this reason im skeptical of findingss from both sides of the arguement. You will probably find the truth somewhere in the middle. But hey if you happy to pay a tax to make the weather cooler and for fresh air then go for it.

PS. the carbon brief still has not shown any hard evidence in their research

There are so many things that can affect climate change which are out of our control. Just look at how we're flying around the sun at 30km/s.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth's_orbit

The orbit is elliptical. We're 5 million kms closer to the sun in January than in July. Just one hotter/colder summer/winter could have a runaway effect for a few years or even decades until the pattern is reversed or we enter an ice age for tens of thousands of years or a much warmer period. At the moment we are in the warmer period.

The earths climate has changed several times over it's lifetime.
