I picked R50,000.00+ audio for R12,000.00 and my own set of speakers.

Yeah buying second hand can get you some really great kit at stupid prices and 99% of the time the stuff has been looked after really well.

I would just about sell my soul for something like that right now. My wife might just leave/kill me,though.

The Onkyo is awesome - did you get it for R4000? I just missed that deal...

I did
It was the last one in the box in centurion, they only have the display model left at that price.

I would take that display model with a smile. Which is better - this Marantz/Jamo or the Onkyo?

no idea, i got the onkyo last week before the marantz special
anyways im happy with it, the sub was faulty so they waiting on a replacement but i have the display models one in the meantime

Put in a bit more and get the original combo with the Jamo S416HCS for R8,000.

I know that would be awesome, but I don't think I need that much - this sort of fits within my budget and my house.
