Suspicious about new phone, and the poor service from Zest mobile

Previously when my screen cracked, Zest had it fixed and returned within a week. This time I am not so happy.

It took so long for the collection that Zest offered me a new phone, which I received today after 23 days of waiting. Now this is where it gets weirder.

When I enable 3G or wireless on the device, I get ads spamming the screen. This is *before* I have set up any of my accounts, or installed anything additional. I did a factory reset (twice) but this continues.

Why would a phone display ads out the box? Some of them were explicit with nudity, this is unacceptable Zest!

Are there any Zest representatives on these forums that I can get in contact with?

Calling their office or repair centres simply cuts the call off after one ring.

There's not been a Zest representative on here since about 015, they were going on about how good the T1 one was and how they were going to release new phones, even had Afrihost onboard. Then poof.

Obviously a venture to make a quick buck. All the poor souls who are stuck with these things.
Anyway I flashed a new firmware on the device and the malicious nasties have been destroyed.
