Swapped out ADSL router, now PPPoE dial up not working from Mikrotik

Hey

I swapped out my ADSL router. I now have a Netgear 834Gv3 (against my will). I can dial an adsl connection from the netgear and connect to the net just fine. I don't want to do that though as I have a mikrotik to do all my routing etc. I have a PPPoE client connection set up in the mikrotik that I used with the old router, but that doesn't want to work on the netgear for some reason. I've enabled PPPoE relay on the netgear, but the furtherest in the dial up process I can get from the Mikrotik is "Link Established"... it doesn't get to "Connected".

I'm using an uncapped account, so that won't allow multiple sessions. To make sure that the netgear isn't dialed up at the same time, I used the disconnect button in the menu for the netgear and for good measure changed my username in the settings. When I check the connection status it does say "Disconnect", so I know that can't be the issue.

Ideas?

I'm not sure I know what you are referring to... meaning probably not... and if I do that, will it mean I can't use it as a wireless access point anymore?

change the last bit of the web address on the netgear to /mode.htm and you can change it from there. It will still work as an AP just wont do DHCP anymore but your microtik can handle that.

Thanks peeps. I found the mode thing u guys were talking about (just before you posted rocket - but exactly what you said:p). I link on the interwebs said this: http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?next_file=mode.htm
I changed the IP address to the netgear's, switched to modem only... and the PPPoE worked like a charm from the miktorik.

Thanks again guys... the help is much appreciated.
