Guys, I am literally shaking.

The company responsible for putting woke stuff in AAA games is violently imploding.

This weekend, one of their employees gave a lashing on Twitter to an enterprising Brazilian Steam user who created a Curator group simply pointing out all games SweetBaby are involved in. The employee requested the user's simple list be driven off Steam and that Valve ban the gentleman's account.

Little problem, though, Twitter/X no longer is the Twitter of yesterday, the employee in question was suddenly and horrifically pushed tf back into their hole, thousands of replies telling them/they and their company to politely get fkt, including community notes, also mass reported calling for targeted harassment, and SweetBaby's corporate account and all employees went dark, locking their accounts.

The List remains, it's now over 100k followers.

It's over.

ITS YO BOY ASMONGOLD also made a video and probably didn't help the situation at all.

Though I know about this I haven't seen how said Sweet Baby employees reacted on X. Sweet Baby's involvement in gaming has long been known, and they aren't the only company which specialize in 'diversity'. Not all games in which they are involved in are bad, but there are cases where diversity is preached in some games they were involved in.

I think it is a massive overreaction though. The market is changing with the current political swings hence Sweet Baby's input would become less valuable. It is silly to cancel these publishers and developers.

There are many publishers and developers which design games with diversity in mind, but they consult with entities like Sweet Baby to tune it.

I mean, they work with Valve, so let's all cancel Steam.

It's certainly interesting that Valve hasn't deleted that curation list and banned the guy who started it, they are listed as SweetBaby Inc clients.

I did read that the ESG thing is running its course though, lots of companies involved in the scheme were accused of "greenwashing" ie- They appear woke to qualify for ESG funding but they not really woke internally, also the "overheads in regulation" seems not to be worth the discount in loans from Blackrock etc anymore.
