It's a bank identifying code important for cross boarder payments. Your bank can advise.

Basically, if you are paying someone at another bank locally, you would just search possible banks in your list.

When paying or receiving payment from overseas banks, each bank has a 'swift code' that identifies them on an international scale. This would allow them to pay you.

You can either ask your bank, or your can basically Google your banks swift code.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, exactly. Example for FNB.

What bank are you with? As above, swift code is what identifies your bank for international payments

Bank name + swift code into Google would have provided the answer in less time it took to post this
Although, to be fair, if you have no reference for a swift code you'd probably want to ask for advice before leaving the fate of your income in the hands of a random Google search

Something's are just quicker than posting on this forum, I did that exact thing when I needed FNB swift was quick.

Honestly I would rather trust Google over asking anything on this forum too many "experts"

Yeah make double sure here. Search your bank website for it, then phone them and ask, make sure you get the same answer, and if they differ, ask what the difference is.
