I switched to Telkom LTE network, purchased 10Gb on my mobile router 2 months ago, and for the first month seemed stable. I then purchased a further 10GB last month, but started having some lag issues, as I use my internet primarily for gaming. I purchased 5GB this month as I was not prepared to take another risk, and this is my test result. I have used most networks where I stay, and this has to be the worst I have ever had, my ping in-game is 2933 (3 second) then you know you're not bad, you're absolutely terrible. How do you get someone to attend to this, does anyone not monitor networks or have network tools that notify the service provider of links running errors? I am frustrated with the level of service I am receiving, as this is not some free service, I'm paying for this "service"

Ping: 69ms
Download: 1.1Mbps
Upload: 1.84Mbps

The SEACOM cable which provides internet to most of Africa linking us to Europe has a breakage.. Hence latency issues have occurred lately. ETA on the repairs is 3 - 6 weeks. For the time being they're rerouted the traffic so we can get a little better download speeds, but latency/ping when using international servers is going to be bad until the repair is completed. It's not just Telkom, its a number of Service Providers affected.

I used cellc gigabundles

I get speed of 10mbps both ways and up to 23mbps download at max.

Telkom is great for your phone but for all else it's a bit slow.

Durban has been getting terrible speeds recently. i think is mainly due to the infrastructure upgrades happenninng everywhere in durban. Log a call with telkom for your speed.. a tech will be able to assist.

Also check your router, u may need to reset.. Also change your APN to TelkomInternet. this apn gives me more stable service but less speed.

Telkom mainly uses SAT3 and Essay. They do have their backup link. If you experiencing slowness, it cause of your service provider. Although u use telkom for ADSL or Fibre, your ISP might be using IS and most of their bandwith is on Seacom. Also most of the peering networks use Seacom.
