I am keen on reviewing this :

Synology DS723+ - We need two reviewers experienced in using Drive for private cloud to provide a detailed experience review.

We have the need for such a service as we need this for deployment of patches and software to our site technicians.

Would like to review the DS723+ Could probably review the Synology DS223 or the

I currently use a DS220+ for a number of functions including 24/7 Video Surveillance [NVR with 1 camera] and the Synology Photos application to auto backup my cellphone.

In addition to the usual NAS functions, I also run Unifi Controller (6 AP's, two switches) in a Docker container, HomeAssistant on a Virtual Machine (utilising the included Synology Virtual Machine Manager license) and a Plex Media Server that serves 3 TV's (1 smart, 1 via ATV, 1 via Android Media Box) and HyperBackup.

Edit: Looking at the DS223 specs I see that it's a replacement for the DS218 so I wouldn't be able to run all the applications I can currently run with the DS220+; in this context reviewing the DS723+ would probably add more value.

Edit 2: The more I look at it the more it makes sense to review the DS723+; it's a much better fit for my use case.

I would really love to review
  • Synology DS923 or
  • Synology DS723+
I would really like to move away from hosting everything in the cloud and rather have all my data in a centralized location off site

I would like to test the Synology DS923+, I already use RS820RP+ at my office for backup and would love to test for personal use.

I would like to review the Synology DS223. Would be great to test the new photo feature.

Hello :)

I currently use the DS420+ and make use of the Synology Drive as a Cloud for offsite replication of data, so have experience in the use case you're looking to test on the 723+ for replication.

I am happy to test in various connectivity and use scenarios across sites, like site-to-site with OpenVPN/StrongSwan and Mesh with Tailscale etc. Also happy to try on mobile devices (iOS and Android) and across Windows and MacOS.

Thanks for the oppurtunity!

Synology DS723+

Will gladly give this a shot, as I have setup something similar for our small business actually with Onedrive & Dropbox!

Synology DS723+

Would love to review this and believe I am well positioned to do so.

Currently use a DS220+ for the following:
- General NAS storage
- Backups of a number of home MacBooks and Windows laptops
- Plex server
- Home Assistant running in a VM using Synology VM Manager
- Eufy surveillance storage

  • Synology DS923+ - We need two reviewers experienced in using Synology ABB for SaaS backup to provide a detailed experience review.
I would like to review the following product. Currently we are utilizing Azure and AWS for our off-site DR. I would like to test the capabilities of the device to create a staging area for local backups and then do a evening push/ sync to the DR zones.

Simplicity in design would be great as training juniors to monitor and give feedback on progress, would be brilliant.

I would love to review the Synology DS723+ as we use private cloud in our office and clients on a daily basis. Even have a private cloud server for our personal documents and files for home

I'd like to review the Synology DS223. I have a top-end LG smart TV, and write photography software, so know the photo space.

I'm keen on this as well - I'm a software developer and have been meaning to setup a family NAS.
I've a bunch of drives waiting to be re-discovered.
Thanks.

About Synology

Synology is the best choice if you are looking for a mid-range NAS product.

The company strives to redefine what a NAS can achieve, and combines public and private cloud features to create a hybrid cloud solution that uses a web-based platform.

This platform turns your Synology NAS into a great multi-function storage device.
I think it's my turn for one of these reviews...

I have written reviews before and still do from time to time. Even wrote for online publications before. I do know quite a bit about NAS Deplyment and have clients where I can test these devices thoroughly. Hell I even have NAS HDD's to use. So please consider me?

Am tempted, our Body Corporate, has been discussing the wisdom of backing up our CCTV camera's, for a longer period of time.

The costs involved, for an intangible return, we might get, and the extra responsibility that goes with it, and with POPI in mind, for now have decided to shelve it. I do feel that it could be helpful, if we could keep the footage of our street facing camera's longer, than the current 5 days our system gives us. And adding a few more camera's to the system will shorten that even more.

From our point of view, the less data we keep, the better.

A case of six of one, and a half dozen of the other, you screwed if you don't have the footage, and you screwed, if you do have it, and demands get made for access.

As someone with a rather unreliable and slow 4-bay Seagate BlackArmor NAS, I have been looking at Synology drives for a replacement. I have tens of terabytes' space required, as I have hundreds of videocassettes that need digitising, plus I'm always creating new drone and other photographic and video content that really needs to have a home to go to.

I do a lot of tech reviews and writing for Elektor, so you can see some of my work here: elektor.com/briantw.
I’d be very keen to see what Synology has to offer to replace this unfortunate dust collector of mine:

Also, if you need a video review, one of my YouTube channels is about tech. Still in its infancy, but I’m always looking for new things to review: youtube.com/@briantw8144

Thanks!
