Take 21.6 Black speedstick now or wait for 43.2?

I'm going to buy myself the new Black Cell C speedstick. But I heard that 43.2mbps would be rolling out later this year?

Should I rather wait, or can I sign the 12 month contact for now? Would the same black speedstick work on the 43.2mbps network?

I'm currently using a 7.2mbps vodacom dongle.

Look, NOBODY has ever been faster than 6mb on Cell C's network, even though it's advertised as 21mbs , so don't bother.
It's all marketing hype!, That's the fastest that modem can go with 100% signal strength and no other users
on your local tower. Recent history with Cell C proves that their system is hellish slow; nowhere near the speeds falsely advertised.

Go for the R1500 deal and slowest modem and don't waste your cash any further.

Forking out for the new modem is tantamount to buying a formula one race car for driving on an African pothole infested gravel road.

I wish cell c would stop selling the modems as the more people buy it the slower it goes... so my advise don't buy it.... the slow down has been crazy the last 4 months..... if you lucky you get 2mb/s in the week and 4mb/s over weekend but the latency is so bad you can't game with it.... its OK just for browsing....

Don't bother buying the faster dongle trust me only a few sites that are not congested are able to actually achieve 10meg+, I haven't even been able to download more than 5meg from my house but at the office I am able to get around 18meg+ if the site aint congested if it is congested the speed drops toa round 8meg+ or so. I will do a speedtest over the long weekend

I'd avoid CellC for now. I was their biggest fan in December/January but their speeds in our area have degraded to the point where the service is unusable at times and this seems to be a common problem. A rare handful of people seem to ve getting great speeds but more and more people are struggling. You might get lucky but at this point I'd be weary about talpking my chances with 3k.

Take your existing service provider's worst day, and multiply by 1000000. That is Cell C at best at the moment.

AVOID CELL C AT ALL COST!!!!

The End
