Take2 just sucks!

Well... what am i to say?

I bought a dvd set from take 2 a month ago, it said it would take two weeks so i thought cool, no problem i'm getting it for cheaper anyway.
Then comes due date, this date gets moved on for 2 weeks, and this date comes and goes.
I get no email nothing, thinking they forgot about me or just didn't get the parcels i phone them, they tell me ok email us and we will send it to management.
Get no email back for a few days decided ok lets phone again and they said yes its been flagged, management will be looking at it soon, they will put a high priority on it.
Get an email today saying "import item not available"

Now i would have been fine if they told me right in the BEGINNING that they were having a problem with the supplier there might be a chance we might not get your item, but they only tell me this NOW?

This is real krap. I for one will not easily deal with take2 again unless i absolutely have to.

/rant off...

Had a similar problem wih kalahari.Ordered stuff for r300.Waited and waited and eventually they say one of the items is unavailable.So the cost dropped to R220 and I had was forced to pay for the courier.Orders over r250 are sent for free.I was so p****d.
Never had any major problems with take2 though.

Weird. Normally they e-mail you if they're having issues with a supplier or sourcing something....

yeah normally... well we'll see they also haven't credited me the shipping. i might buy something else that is the same price, they should be happy they have something else i want...

never had a problem with them either, but yeah stuff happens. Kalahari gave me grief a few months back, but they came to the party and sorted it out and retained a customer. Hope they do the same for you.

I ran into one issue with Take 2 where they indicated the supplier couldn't provide the requested item, but they followed up on that promptly and refunded me. Communication was always there throughout the procedure.

Other than that incident, Take 2's been great.

A DVD was a few days late so I emailed them and they sent me the other products that had arrived at their store, the late DVD come along a few days later with free shipping.....

Not bad.

EDIT: They also offered me credit/refund for a product I ordered that turned out to be out of stock. They notified me with in a few days of placing the order.

Fringe season 1 was supposed to be available last week on dvd at look n listen, but they say there has been a problem and havnt recieved it yet, so Im wondering if I should order the series via Take2 , Ive never purchesed anything online before ( well not in South Africa at least) .

From all the online shops, their service is the best. Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience.

Ages ago I use to buy from an online DVD retailer. I thought the name was take2 or something similar. I bout a DVD for R300 and lost my money coz it went bankrupt. I'm not saying this is the same site but just cant force myself to buy from them coz it reminds me of the bad experience. Does anyone know the name of that site, was it the same? Maybe it will be one less thing to tell my shrink about :)

I used to buy from Sybaritic, but they have bad service and are incompetent when it comes to returning a product under warranty, so I switched to Take2 and never had any problems at all.

Has simliar problem with Kalahari with book I ordered... 20 days later they tell me they can't get it from supplier in UK.
