Takealot Black Friday 2020 deals

Takealot has launched its annual Blue Dot Countdown Deals, which will feature deals throughout November.

The company's Blue Dot Countdown deals will run from 2-27 November - after which its main Blue Dot Sale will kick off at midnight.

Takealot really taking people for a ride, at least those that didn't check prices before all the sales started. Wrote down a couple of prices a few weeks ago for a few things I had my eye on, the one item was the 6L Instant Pot, less than two weeks ago the price was R1899 (was not on special), now it's showing a normal price of R2199 with a special price of R2099, that is R200 more than just two weeks ago!

checked the oneplus phones, no specials on those,
when I brought my oneplus X it really was on special not on daily deal or anything,
but was 1,7K for a week and nobody noticed, but they only had like 12 units.

checked now, dont see anything, so it must be another scam, nothing really stands out as a "good" deal

Its well known that the scumbags up the price to make their slashed/special price look good, while it actually ain't..

Alot of sites do it.

Luckily, shopping around online before you buy is a thing.

Thing is not to get swept up in black friday hype, and double check prices on other sites.
I do buy from Takealot when it makes sense, ie. a real bargain or convenience (can't find it elsewhere or delivery time) since their deliveries are quick & reliable.
