Takealot Cancel order, Suppler confirms item sent to Takealot Warehouse...

Has anyone seen something like this from Takealot before:

I spoke to the supplier, and they CONFIRM, the order was sent to takealot's JHB branch. Supplier will investigate, but this is after placing my order 12 days ago. Also when you view the product it reads 3 to 5 days delivery, but when you pay it becomes 15 days delivery????

What a mess...

Yes I had to buy a C-pen for my son. Took them a good week to let me know. I do like the cheek "Your refund is reflecting on your profile as a credit." I got the same device cheaper directly from the company selling on TakeALot.

Same here, Takealot adds a 50% markup. Only difference was free delivery from TA but still much cheaper buying direct and paying for delivery.

Hi guys,

Getting bad...Dealt with 3 people at TA, And I cant get hold of the people sending me the emails. They again telling me no stock from supplier..

What now?

Latest Update:

Supplier (Cellucity): Cellucity Executive confirms the phone was SENT to TA Jhb Warehouse! (they using Takealots Stock Management system)
TakeaLot: Customer care says, the phone never arrived, and on their system (I assume is the same stock management system), shows supplier don't have stock :crying:

Remember the order was placed and paid for on Thursday, 3rd August.

TA cancelled my order, but now has reinstated my order (although it still reads Cancelled under my profile), and requested another phone from the supplier (of which the supplier confirms he has enough stock!)

New ETA is now Friday 18, August.

Lets hope and see.

Phone still in limbo, but at CPT warehouse

Asked them to sent it overnight, response, "Ooh Sorry sir, but we cannot do that!"

But the issue is on their side:mad:

this is similar to what I went though last year with a miniPC that shipped completely broken (hard drive never got power, motherbaord issue)

it took me 3 weeks to get a cash refund.
what I ended up doing is posting on every single takelot post on faebook saying that they are thieves who will steal your money.
lo and behold, I got a call from someone with a clue, and the cash reflected in my account the same day.
that was really impressive considering it was easter monday.

Thats why I am posting it here. I managed to get the receptionist number, and it went over to voicemail. There is no way to get hold of anyone!
