Takealot launches 1-hour delivery service

I tried it a few weeks back ordering the new Mi Box and got my order in half an hour. It worked basically the same as ordering Burger King using the Mr D app.

Great idea - wanted to test it out now, but the product choice are very limited. None of the 3 items I wanted to order was available on the Mr D app

Seems like a decent enough idea though I would have thought that a 1 hour delivery service would cater more towards essentials, foods, drinks, maybe things like memory sticks, SD cards, etc instead of luxury items like phones, laptops, etc which shouldn't really be impulse buys.

They should rather work on a more predicable delivery service that allows you to track the delivery better so that you know when your order will be delivered (within reasonable margin of 1 or 2 hours).

Great - now we going to have Takealot scooters driving like morons as well as Checkers6060.
Win

That is good advice to consumers, but if there is a market for it, someone will fill it.
