Takealot Service?? Is it Good or Bad

Hello mybroadanders

I am looking to buy a replacement headset for my PC and have found one I want to buy. only problem is that I have never used takealot. I would like to know what their service is like in general and their customer service for warranty claims and such.

Your experiences and information are welcome so please share.

Hey,

I have used Takealot a few times, they are probably the most reputable online company in the country. I find their general service quite good. I have however never had to send something back, so I can't help you with that. Just watch out for their unboxing deals, apparently their were some duds that were sold, but there is a whole thread about that somewhere on here.

From the bigger online companies I use takelot.com and loot.co.za the most.

For PC specific things you can also try rebeltech. I have sent things back to them and they did replace it for me.

Ive only had good service. My earphones packed up after a few months. I logged the return on their website. They gave me a call 2 days later confirming the date the courier must pick it up. A week later I had my replacement set delivered to me.

I have always had quality service with TA. I buy at least 3-4 time a month. they usually deliver (mostly free) to my office in 2 days. Goods are packaged well and in good condition. Returns are never an issue, usually no questions asked and cash refund back into account if you are not happy.

Go for it :D

I have used Rebeltech and the service was great.
will be ordering my headset once I get back from holiday.

Never had bad service from them.

I had to return a faulty DSL router once and it was all handled quickly and efficiently.

I know a lot of us expected worse service after the merger but I've only ever been happy with them. That, plus them being an eBucks partner means I'm a happy Takealot customer.

Service has always been impeccable and I have ordered many things. I have had to return only on 2 occasions. First they replaced, second the refunded me. They collect from you at no charge.

Living where I do, with no major "tech" suppliers nearby, I use Takealot fairly often. Never had a problem with them.

I use them very often.
for about 8 monnths last year I bought coffee pods and cat food from them every month. until December when they suddenly had no stock after I ordered the item and paid for it. took them 18 business days to sort out the issue.

I also ordered a miniPC from them two weeks ago, it had an out of the box failure, took them 8 days to sort out it being picked up. that was Tuesday, they still have not gotten it from the people who picked it up.


so TLDR when its a simple thing they are decent.when they are bad and something goes wrong they go into a flat panic and take three times as long to sort it out as necessary no matter if you start out nice and polite or by screaming. but somehow screaming at a manager fixed my issue withing hours over December....

I buy from them quite often because of the good service.

Easy to buy and Items get delivered in a timely fashion, once i ordered in the morning and received the item in the evening.

I have also returned a product once - emailed them and someone came to pick it up, and got a refund. no problems.

Very good service!

I do almost all my shopping at Takealot.
If I could, I will do all my shopping from them. Best service ever.

I would recommend them any day. I buy from them a lot. Since discovering them, I haven't set a foot inside Game and Makro.
