Takealot opens Durban distribution centre

South African e-commerce giant Takealot officially opened its Durban distribution centre in the Brickworks Industrial Park on 20 September 2024, enabling faster delivery times for customers in KwaZulu-Natal.

In a statement released on Wednesday, 27 November, the company said the cutting-edge facility will help it meet the growing demand in the region.
 
2 years too late, at least it will double up Amazon to open a Durban DC

I honestly don't know what that DC was exactly, whenever you ordered something from Takealot back then you it either came from Joburg or Cape Town.
 
Their backend hasn't been updated, just checked their estimated delivery dates on items stocked in Durban with one stocked only in Durban, the earliest delivery, all are giving an estimated delivery date of Monday. I'm not going to give Fakealot in order to see what the actual delivery date will be.

Likely they are trying to push people to sign up to that "takealot more" subscription bs also.
Just ordered something this afternoon that had Dur stock & saying est delivery Friday.
