Takealot's PlayStation 5 delivery promise

Despite concern from a number of South Africans over adjusted delivery times, Takealot has promised that all PS5 orders will arrive by the original promised delivery times.
I CAN ASSURE YOU TAKEALOT HAS NOT DELIVERED WHAT THEY HAVE PROMISED THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!

I paid for my PS5 Console this morning through Takealot, and I selected the option for it to be delivered tomorrow the 20th November 2020 (I paid R95 extra for the console to be delivered tomorrow. After making payment, the order stated that I will only be receiving my console by the 3rd December 2020. An hour later my order was just cancelled on Takealot's end without my consent or knowledge. Now they are holding R12,094,00 of my money, which will only be paid back to me within 3 - 5 working days. This is completely unacceptable.
I requested that if they cannot deliver my console tomorrow as per their agreement I want them to transfer my funds immediately back into my bank account using the immediate payment method so I can take my business elsewhere.
I also informed them that if the above is not adhered to and should I not receive an immediate payment from Takealot I will institute legal proceedings.
Takealot are quick to just take their customers money for a service they will not be rendering, but are reluctant to pay us back our money immediately. What I don't understand is that we as customers need to make an immediate payment to secure our orders, but Takealot don't have an immediate payment method whereby they can pay back their customers.
Please take note the Takealot site had stock available when I placed my order when I made payment this morning, because if Takealot didn't have stock it would not have let me place my order and make payment for it . This is completely unacceptable and unlawful business practice.

I am not the only one, a work colleague had the same experience with Takealot.

At least you getting it tomorrow game.co.za f’n told me it will take 7-10 days.
supposed to be ps5 priority but its the same normal delivery, seriously WTF...

quick to take the money but delivery gonna take forever!

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Disgusting service from Takealot and false advertising! Said it was available, I paid for two units and then they cancelled my order and refuse to refund immediately!
