Taste Holdings closing Domino’s Pizza stores in South Africa

Taste Holdings has announced that it will liquidate its food business.

The voluntary liquidation will see the company write off R450 million in shareholder loans, following an "inability to find a buyer for its troubled franchising business Domino’s Pizza".

No surprise, really. When they launched they had one or two good deals. Since then their offerings got more expensive than other brands, for pizzas that's pretty bland, if you ask me. Doesn't bother me.

Used to quite like St Elmo's, but Taste replaced them all with the salty mess that is Domino's. No loss that they're gone.

St Elmos and Scooters were both pretty ok for pizzas..

Domino's was just shyte all around.
