Need some assistance please from an expert if possible.
In the last tax year I moved an RA from Old Mutual to Sygnia via section 14.
Old Mutual issued a tax certificate and Sygnia applied for a tax directive. Unfortunately OM issued tax certificate for an incorrect (lower) amount, Sygnia picked up on it, cancelled the tax directive and applied for a new tax directive.
However, my efilling profile now shows the tax certificate with the incorrect amount and the old directive number. I am unable to get hold of anyone at OM to fix this - everyone refers me to a different department and I get the impression they don't understand the problem.
My question is, can I change the amount on efilling and update the tax directive to the new number and file it in that manner? Will it kick out on SARS side that I increased the amount? I'd like to avoid being audited (nothing to hide, just hate the admin and don't have convenient access to a scanner at the moment).
Any advise or anyone with a contact at OM's section 14 department?
