As of Sept 1st, I've been issued with a travel allowance.
Looking around, I've found a few good tips...
* According to the SARS website, I only need to log my business travel.
* I should be keeping receipts for all work done to my car.
* Up to 80% of my business travel can be claimed back.
My questions...
1. Do I need to keep the receipts from every time that I top up my tank?
2. I drive a classic car; a '60s Beetle. It's had a lot of work to it and has been formally appraised at a fairly high value. The online tax calculators seem to cut off vehicles beyond 2010. Am I going to have a problem claiming with my car?
