Two traffic officers came under attack from taxi drivers at a Cape Town petrol station on Thursday, the second time that police have been attacked in the same area in less than a week.

Cape Town traffic services spokesperson Richard Coleman said that on Thursday afternoon one of the officers was in his car while the other went into the shop at a petrol station on Koeberg Road. Suddenly, half-a-dozen taxis descended on them.

Shoot to kill?

Alternatively, tell them "an eye for an eye" and nod knowingly.

You call this an attack? Hell you traffic officers need to get out more. Us road users deal with taxi abuse every single day. Suddenly it makes news headlines when it's a trafeec orificer? :crying::thumbsdown:

“The unrest started earlier this week – allegedly in response to an operation by our traffic service around minibus taxis,” he said on Friday.

“Taxi drivers and owners believe that they should not be fined or arrested for offences and that the city should engage them first in discussions about these offences.

Bahahahaha, wonder if this will spread around the country now. Cops often set up a road block to pull over taxis only around Sandton.

Harsher laws should be enacted as they carry people and not goods , how can we value the loss of a human life ?
We cant but we can imprison and fine those who murder by use of a vehicle , the fines should also be sent to the taxi association and once you reach 100k or whatever then you should be forcibly disbanded.

so they do this

a truck had been set alight
Traffic officers have allegedly been attacked twice by taxi drivers in the space of a few days along Koeberg Road.

hoe lee sheet

maybe cele should plead with them as well

law enforcement is a joke, do they only process people that cooperate with them or what. #blackprivilege ??
it seems country wide violence can break out and it will be every man for themselves, the law will observe from the outskirts while doing pretty much nothing to stop it. just publish bullshit stories for the media/world

It's already all around the country... Couple of years ago the taxis blockaded part of pinetown and threatened the municipality... All fines were basically scrapped from what I remember
