We seem to have a lot of brotherly love emanating from Natal at the moment, so I thought it appropriate to announce this.
Now before GayTechie hurts something getting to Durban, let me explain:
The Vodafone / Vodacom policy is that Linux is not 'officially' supported. This is still the case.
However, some of the technical people in Vodacom did not 'officially' agree with this and decided to support Linux via this forum. Anonymously, of course.
This is what we've seen the last two years or so with Tazz_Tux providing excellent Linux support to the forum.
Tazz_Tux is actually one of the Vodacom Data Specialists, based in Durbs, (but we won't hold that against him.)
'Data Specialist' is probably an understatement as he is (as typical Linux fundis tend to be) a specialist at many things. He also built the Vodacom speed test all by himself (and one day, when I get the licensing sorted, it'll be our official speed test).
Our support on Linux will thus continue in the same way:
You can't call 155 (yet) for Linux support, but come to myADSL and Tazz_Tux will do his damnest to sort you out.
I do think Tazz deserves a huge thank you from the forum for the level of support he's been offering, all by himself and in his spare time.
