I don't think its working a 100%. When my phone awakes from sleep mode and I open GTalk, Gtalk was faded and it started to sign in again. This does not happen all the time.

Cant, the very service I wanted push for is broken. Dont know if they blocked Viber on purpose or by accident.

OK Viber now working again, but will test over a period of time before final answer.

We tested it again and it seems to be working great. I think whatsapp may be having issues on all services though.

Thank you Cell_C.

Very little people reporting back with testing. I assume no news is good news then?

I tested GTalk and Gmail on my SGS with Cell C. GTalk came through immediately after sending a talk 6 minutes after connecting to 3G. Gmail didn't though, unless there's a setting that I have wrong maybe.

My Cell C phone has an IP address of 197.174.180.230 at the moment and I am experiencing the same problem as before with delays after the 4min "timeout".

Not sure if this is related to IP address range or not.
Will disconnect mobile data connection and try and get an IP in the 41.x.x.x range and check again.

Edit: 11:28
Still unable to get a 41.x IP address.
Have now got 197.171.93.33, with the same delay problem.

Edit: 12:05
Now have IP address 41.53.144.97 and not seeing the delay problem at the moment.

Is this coincidental or is there an issue with IP range differences?

Perhaps other testers can add their IP address to their observations, if possible.

Edit: 22:36
Back to IP address 197.170.219.114 and it's broken again!

Will check again in the morning.

I think it is time that mybb does a public article on this situation. Enough is enough now. All the other networks dont have this problem. I cant imagine why this should be so difficult to fix.

Cell C better sort this out before all their work of the last year gets undone.

Vodacom and MTN might just take advantage of this situation in an advert "Cell C can't push" and also rubbish their smartphone service claims.

Maybe after 8 weeks of this thread, it is time for mainstream media to pick up on this and alert potential customers of this epic F A I L

I emailed mybb on the 10th August, but no response.

Edit: If Cell C don't fix this by the time I've used up all my data, I will port back to Vodacom.

This is definitely problem with 197. IP range!
When my modem is on 197.xxx.xxx.xxx i can't connect to plenty of the websites - they simply not exist!
No problem with 41.xxx.xxx.xxx!
