This isn't an easy question to answer as if you're not getting paid fairly to begin with then nothing else matters, however if you are getting fair compensation then it's reasonable to pick a different option.

As simple as it may be, this question does confuse me:



It confuses me because many places seem to view "gross salary" differently. Some places treat "gross salary" as your total cost to company (CTC), and other places refer to your "base pay", which may not include other benefits that an employer may supply.

So @rpm as simple as my question sounds, should we enter base pay, or should it be our total cost of employment (CTC)?
