Job Requirements:
• Matric & IT Diploma
• MCSE
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role (remote support)
• Strong MS Server knowledge required
• Office 365, PABX experience and knowledge

Daily duties:
This position will mainly entail remote support for SME clients on escalated queries from Junior Technical Engineers. Strong Server and Microsoft knowledge needed to support their variety of SME clients.

You say that almost like the laptop is a gift to the new employee and they don't need it for work.

In some sense it is, as, lets face it, work laptops are often employed for personal use after hours.

What I meant is that it's mandatory and expected that they supply a machine for you to perform your job function with.

It's not really a perk, unless they give it to you a subsidised BYOD fashion where you get to keep it after the fact.

Sure, I hear you. Just saying that the way people use their work computers for personal stuff after hours pretty much translates into a perk. But it should probably not be marketed at such.
