This is awesome news.

You'd be lucky to get full 10meg though, it all depends on which provides you a more stable internet connection; Telkom would keep dropping the speeds until they find the most stable connection for you.

You won't get full speed on mweb (le' throttling) regardless of account and line speed

The lines have been 4Mbps for a long time in our area, today I noticed when resetting my router that the router is syncing at 6Mbps, hello.....
Checked Telkoms ADSL speed checker and there it is, 10Mbps supported.
Wow it has been a long time coming.

Same here. Though when I upgraded to 4 meg originally the chap at the Telkom store told me I could go up to 8 meg with my stats.

Edit: Hmm, I wonder if they're raising the speed in stages, first 6Mbps, then 8 etc...

Now I'm completely confused, just received Telkom's speed increase email and the tables deal only with uncapped home and business DSL. Home Do Premium uncapped (nearest; I am on Do Premium soft-capped), quotes:

"Current": DSL speed, up to 4/10 Mbps and internet speed 4 Mbps.
"New": DSL speed, up to 10 Mbps and internet speed 4 Mbps.

That sounds like no speed increase to me, or am I missing something?

Mine started syncing at 6mbps 2 weeks ago but the line checker still says 4mbps is the best available. That confuses me though, why bother upgrading the exchange from 4 to 6? Or do they plan to increase the sync speed again soon?
