Telkom 40Mbps broadband pre-order taken offline

Was that a technical glitch fixed, a dipstick of market sentiment or an end to an actual campaign to get leads?
 
no use giving hope of supplying a service u know you cant supply... all that does is pi ss people off :)
rather not create a stick that you will probably be smacked with later ...
 
Those idiots called me yesterday asking me when they install my 40 MBPS Line. I nearly fell off my chair. Some chick from durban call centre.

I asked her if she was aware of the 40Mb line in existince and she called her supervisor who said there is some error.

LMAO...

Oops... typically Telkom... one step forwards and two steps back! It's called the Telkom shuffle!
 
Either an admin error, or you'll find Telkom didn't expect so many people to select that they wanted 40Mbps... now they're k@king themselves.

I would be interested, but haven't signed up for it as there's absolutely zero indication of what cost will be associated with it. Any ideas on that front?
 
Why did they have to go and cancel it? It's not a bad idea, it will indicate how many people are interested in their new technology.

Because, they never going to offer it :) LOL i thought, Telkom is getting their world class leading network ready. Well nothing to worry. They got plenty of time. 2015 is in three years. By that time the rest of the world will have 10-100 Gbps connections. And Telkom will blame apartheid and the weather . Bunch of morons.
